Safety
A protected circle, by design.
Witch Finder is a small, moderated community for adults. Here’s how the app protects you, and how to look after yourself when you meet someone new.
Built into the app
Adults only
Everyone gives their birthday at sign-up and must be 18 or over. Child sexual abuse and exploitation is never tolerated and is reported to NCMEC and the authorities.
Human moderation
Moderators review profiles and Coven posts against the community guidelines, and the team posts updates in Announcements.
Two-way blocking
Block anyone in one tap. You disappear from each other’s feed, profiles and chat — in both directions.
Privacy controls
Hide your gender, orientation or location from your public profile. Your location is approximate and only used to work out distance.
Chat stays in the app
Social handles aren’t allowed in bios, which keeps scammers and spammers from pulling people off-platform.
Leave whenever you like
Remove a chat from your list, or delete your account from settings. Paid subscriptions are managed in your app store.
Safety tips for meeting a match
Take your time
Chat in the app for a while before sharing your number or other socials.
Video call first
A quick video chat confirms someone is who they say they are.
Meet in public
Choose a busy café, bookshop or market for first meetings — and arrange your own transport.
Tell a friend
Let someone you trust know where you’re going, who with, and when you’ll check in.
Never send money
No genuine match will ask you for money, gift cards or crypto. Report anyone who does.
Trust your intuition
If something feels off, it probably is. You can block and report at any time — no explanation needed.
Need to report someone?
Use block and report in the app, open Help Center from your profile to raise a ticket, or email support@witchfinderdating.com. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
